Moose Facts for kids

Moose are large ungulate mammals that live in the northern United States, Canada, and Europe. Moose have short tails, a hump on their shoulders, and large ears that can rotate, providing stereophonic hearing. Their fur is usually brown and provides excellent insulation from the winter cold. Male moose have massive antlers that can grow up to 6 feet. Moose use their antlers only to fight for a pair, and they shed them each winter.
