Facts about foxes for kids

Foxes are omnivorous mammals. Foxes usually live in forested areas and build their homes by digging burrows in the ground. These burrows are a good place to store food and a safe place to give birth to their cubs. Foxes are very cunning and clever – their burrows have multiple exits, so they can always escape if a predator enters the burrow!

Like most forest animals, foxes like to hunt at night and sleep during the day. Did you know that foxes have excellent eyesight and can see just as well as a cat? Foxes are also very fast.
